The Longer Version

The Early Days of My Entrepreneurial Journey

At the age of 14, I decided (with the kind of conviction usually reserved for kids declaring they’ll be astronauts) that I was going to be an entrepreneur. At nineteen, I got on a plane (alone, mind you) and moved across the world to Australia. Why? Because I figured if I was going to be a business owner, I needed to learn how to market and manage a business. So, I did a Bachelor's of Commerce with a triple major in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. I had no idea what I wanted to do. But I was determined to figure it out!

Entering the Marketing World

After graduating in 2012, I landed a marketing specialist job at a large international company in Australia. But even as I played corporate dress-up, my brain was on a treasure hunt for business ideas. I dabbled in network marketing, thinking it was the perfect shortcut; just sell products I loved, right? My life long lousy self worth had me spiraling into a self-doubt vortex. Who am I to do this? Why would anyone buy from me? Even though I understood marketing strategy, the biggest problem was staring back at me in the mirror. I couldn’t sell because I lacked the confidence to show up and represent myself.

The Self-Development Rabbit Hole (a.k.a. My Double Life)

In 2012, something snapped. I reached a point where I was outright exhausted from battling myself every day. So, I went on a self-development bender.

By day, I was a corporate marketer in a blazer and heels (well, not quite heels as I'm 179 cm tall ...or 5'9). By night, I was binge-watching personal development YouTube videos and inhaling every book on psychology, spirituality, neuroscience, and shadow work. I basically lived two parallel lives: office professional by day, self-help junkie by night.

In 2012, I also entered an entrepreneurship competition. Picture a sea of serious, gray-suited businessmen…and then there was me; 22 years old wearing pink jeans and a blazer with leopard-print lining. Somehow, my team won.

The Artist in Japan (Plot Twist!)

Fast forward to 2015, I packed up and moved to Japan with my boyfriend at the time. Due to visa restrictions, I wasn’t allowed to work or study, so I decided, why not live out my artist dream? After all, I had considered doing a degree in fine arts. I taught myself oil painting via YouTube, built my first website to sell my art, and somehow landed a spot as one of five international artists at a big exhibition in Fukuoka . Fun fact; I also ended up as a cover girl at the City Magazine, Fukuoka Now. Looks like I'm a pro surfer, but my surfing skills are as great as the waves in this pic!

The “What Am I Actually Doing With My Life?” Phase

When I moved back to Australia, I hosted my own solo art exhibition. But as much as I loved creating, art didn’t give me the depth I craved. No matter how great the product or mission of the companies in the social selling space were, none of it felt complete either. I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but I longed for it to fulfill me at a soul level too. So, I asked myself, "what’s the thing I always come back to in my life?" The answer was as obvious as fire being hot: self-development and marketing.

Marketing Maniac & Transformation Thirst

Here’s the thing, while I was busy healing through layers of self worth issues, I was also stacking up a wide arsenal of digital marketing expertise. With 13 years of experience in the industry, I’ve helped start-ups, scale-ups, small businesses, and big corporations make more money online. I’ve worked in agencies and across multiple digital platforms, diving deep into website building and optimization, SEO, and content creation (think blog articles, social media content, and everything in between). I know my way around Google Ads, social media ads, and funnel building. Content strategy? Check. Overall marketing strategy? Double check. It’s not just about running the right strategies. You have to have the right mindset to be able to execute on it too.

I don’t just coach on marketing. I am obsessed with what I call "Holistic Marketing", where human psychology meets effective marketing. 

The Lightbulb Moment: Coaching

In 2015, I told someone, I just wish I could get paid for helping people succeed in their businesses. That was my dream. I loved marketing. I loved transformation. And, I had done so much inner work that I finally started to believe I had something valuable to offer.

Then, in 2018, I discovered coaching. And when I say I went all in, I mean all in like a girl who says she’s ‘just browsing’ but ends up with three full carts and a Klarna payment plan. I devoured books, took every course I could find, and got certified in anything that felt related. My Audible library? Over 500 self-development books (not even counting my hard copies). Have I read them all? No. But let’s just say I have absorbed enough literature to start my own self-help cult (kidding… kind of...am I?)

I had also been collecting certifications like a 90's kid collecting Pokémon cards over the years. Everything from energy healing, Reiki to inner child work ...all kinds of alternative modalities. Later, I moved into neuroscience, hypnotherapy, and somatic work. I wanted to understand every layer of transformation. Initially just for for myself, but after discovering how powerful these tools were, I wanted to help others too.

Overcoming the Fear of Being Seen

For years, I thought if I just learned enough, clients would magically appear. Spoiler alert: They don’t. Even as I had a Bachelor's degree in business, a Masters degree in Digital Marketing and understood (intellectually) so much about the psyche and brain ...Turns out, I was using education as a safety blanket; an excuse to avoid facing my biggest fears: visibility (ultimately fear ending up alone thinking people wouldn't like me). No amount of knowledge could replace the inner work I needed to do on showing up. When I finally healed thorough the bulk of my visibility issues (brains are gonna brain though, right?), everything started shifting.

Now, I help coaches by both utilizing marketing strategies that uniquely fit their personal strengths and goals. I also help them overcome all the resistance that come up around putting themselves out there as who they truly are. Because that's when attracting more clients becomes inevitable.
